Just Radio is an app that does exactly what it says, it’s deliberately just radio. Far too many radio apps today are stuffed full of obtrusive advertising, or have become so big that finding and playing the actual stations is cumbersome.
Just Radio aims to wipe all of the cruft aside and concentrate on three core interactions — playing a station, adding to a list of favorite stations, and finding new stations to listen to.
Just Radio also works with the iTunes music database to find album art and track and artist names, adjusting the app design to match. It works across devices, and is also controllable with extended metadata through the Apple Watch and Apple TV.
Just Radio is using private TuneIn/RadioTime APIs so I don’t expect it to make it into the app store. It has been a fun way to experiment with UI and animations. I hope it can help others working with the FRadioPlayer framework.
